Field piping to a large degree is an "art form" not every technician or maintenance person can bend pipe and keep it square and clean looking row after row, corner after corner with bends to the vertical and back to the horizontal. On new machinery a clean and square piping job will help sell your machine to the customer. Where new or retrofitted machines are being installed the runs from the machines to the power units should be routed in hard tubing only with no hoses laying on the floor and all remote piping properly clamped and connected to the machine with clean points of termination. With the competition being what it is today the appearance of your plant and machinery can make a difference in obtaining a new customer.
