Beach Russ Vacuum Pumps

 

 

At the urging of Excelon Corporation, Servo Kinetics began to offer rebuild support services on the Beach Russ Vacuum Pumps, after Excelon was made aware that Beach Russ was closing their doors. After evaluating a size 15 and a size 30, we determined we could confidently rebuild and comfortably support both pumps.

We have reversed engineered all parts that should be replaced in the manufacturing process. All parts remain dimensionally the same as the original part from Beach Russ, do interchangeability is maintained. Virtually all bronze and copper hardware items are replaced with new. A new sight glass assembly is also installed, along with a new solenoid valve. The housing main bore is machined to clean up and new steel vanes are installed — an upgrade from a Nylon type vane.

Each remanufactured pump is fully tested for its vacuum rating before shipment. Each manufacturing pump has a one (1) year warranty.

 

Reverse Engineered Replacement Parts

RP-Series 15, 30 & 150

These photographs show several reverse engineered parts from a Beach Russ Model 150 vacuum pump. The parts configuration for a 15, 30 and 150 are identical except for their physical size. They grow larger as the model numbers get bigger.

 

 

 

 

 

Servo Kinetics has become highly successful in the art of reverse engineering, which is always more than a simple case of duplicating the damaged parts. Important issues always arise, such as:  “what type of metal was used in the original part?” ”Is it hardened or forged?” “What is its Rockwell number?” and more.

As experts in reverse engineering, we have learned that it is key to get it right the first time, or the job is “in the mud.”

 

 

 

When all of the reverse engineered parts come out of our machining department, the assembly of the pump begins. All machined parts are submitted for inspection, and checked for dimension, fit and finish. The pump is then sent to our testing department for actual testing. After the pump has successfully passed all testing, it will be prepped for painting and shipping. A full set of test reports will be returned with the repair.
